Life post

Well my dearies, its been a while since my last post.
Alot has happened, just the usual, good stuff and the typical badish stuff.
I feel like, more and more, I am able to take one giant step back and take a good look at
the things I manage to deal with on a daily, life can be massively complicated
but one thing i've learned is I like to keep it pretty simple in my book.

Its a yes or a no, a black or a white,
A sure or not sure. Simple simple see!
I totally think life is super short, too short to be anything but the above
and i mean that about all things in general!!

You've gotta say what you want to say and make it mean everything,
Do what you want to do(in everyones best interest of course)
and not be afraid of risks, not be fearful of the maybes, ifs and or buts.

Sundays revelation: Love is a risk, but the greatest risk is to withdraw from it.
Lately I am definitely in love with so many things!!!!

Church was awesome today, I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful church to call home,
I had THE BEST breakfast date, strawberry banana french toast, scrambled eggies, sausage, hash browns and OJ.
MMMMMMMMMMMM. food coma to the max.

I then went out on a photo adventure in Silverlake Ca. and it was glorious.
Im loving silverlake for all the man buns I see walking around,
hipsters unite in this city and it is righteous.

Wild little thing, we got looks everywhere we went, no exaggeration,
and the craziest thing is im sure its linked to wearing black on black on black.
witchy vibes.

My hair has changed, my style is morphing,
I watched a super creepy movie called Halloween 3: Season of the Witch.

You will be traumatized. Its a super bizarre film. No exaggeration.

Cave Tripping

Hey..... Life.....? I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, I am fulfilled.

I am in love with so many good things right now!!!
the good and the bad that life has to offer.
All of it! There is no better place Id rather be than where I am right now.
I feel like im starting to understand life a lot better than I ever have!!
Im thankful today for life's unexpected moments,
I am thriving because of each and every little one of them.

Oh yea, I explored a MAAAAAAAASSSSSIVE cave on this day,
and it was crazy wicked!!!! like, Lord of the Rings status,
I think I found Smeagols headquarters. No lie.
Well yes, yes a lie.

But anyways, I did some major rock climbing and helped save my friends life
as we climbed our way outta that nugget. Climbing in the cave was alright, but climbing out of the cave was INTENSE!!
but you know what I loved?
I loved the way the rocks had the most perfect grip spots
and so maneuvering your way out was 10x simpler because of that.
Ended the day with a belly full of turkey bacon panini goodness.
And iced coffee=liquid gold.

Route 66: Roadtripping on point.

yes I am at the famous Hackberry Route 66 shop!
Crazy to think this road takes you from LA to Chicago...unbelievable right?
This world is full of nutty happenings.

My favorite thing on this stop was the tourist wall which cases dollar bills, pesos, yen, turkishollars( turkish dollars), and all sorts of other currency from around the world!!!
Visitors get to pinpoint where they're visiting from, and although there were
many american buckaroos, there were plenty of other dollars from all sorts of different
countries!!!!!! I saw one from turkey, england, china, Japan, Egypt, and more!!

Well fellow readers,
Im completely exhausted and all i want to do is catch some Z's
so I'll continue on this later!

ok ok. ignore that last shot of me, that was after running through the trail
(LITERALLY , WE DID SOME TRAIL RUNNING to catch the sunrise from the mountain top..)
And so my total appearance wasnt too attractive. notice the off balance hair bun.

crazy how theres desert and then theres a forest up the road in Arizona.
Wild stuff I tell ya!

Rainbow Goodies!!!

On our way out of the canyon we got to watch lightning all across the grand canyon sky,
the patchy rainspots looked surreal, very magical.
After the rain came a rainbow, outstretched over the sleeping giant.
I cant even handle all the greatness of this trip. I mean seriously.
Im feeling more humbled every passing minute, transformed,
at peace, renewed. All these positive vibes.
The best things in life really are free.

Our death hike to South Kaibab Trail!!
An 11 mile hike, storm started setting in while we hiked it!
So it was stinkin hot on our way down the canyon but raining by the time we had to make our way out! There was an old mr. hiking the trail, an instructor aparently, who at one point passed us by and said, " you gals need to turn around, storms coming in
and you can catch hypothermia with the weather thats a'brewin'"

well....we waited for him to leave and said to ourselves
"umm.......i REALLY doubt things'll get so rough we'll get hypothermia out here"
Afterall it was just starting to sprinkle!
LIGHTNING!!!!!!! and thunder that echoed throughout the was insane,
the sound of thunder echoing throughout the grand canyon,
It went down in Raych history,
the day I fell in love with lightning, and the sound of thunder.

subtracting my everyday city life routine and replacing it with this piece of mother nature
was the best decision i've made in quite a while.

Life is good. No....Life is REEEEEEal good.

Grand Canyon Skywalk!

Crazy to think of how you remember certain events;
what you were doing and where you were.
For example: I remember when michael Jackson was pronounced dead, I was having pizza at my friends pizza parlor in Fresno Ca.
When September 11 went down I was in the 5th or 6th grade, in class and my teacher turned on the tv in our classroom to see the news reports. I remember vividly how devastated and shocked she was at the thought of the twin towers coming to an end.
And so my point is, I'll remember being on Vegas Strip and learning that Joan Rivers had died. Sensory overload by the way!!! strip. WOW now.

I really appreciate these life details, these moments, these events your mind will remember probably forever because of whatever funny little reason.

Anyways, okay sooooo....HAHAHA i find myself saying" anywayss...."
and "sooo...." quite often....especially at work. Makes me feel silly and repetitive. But anyways where was I,
I arrived thrilled because of havasupai and the caves and the grand canyon and hualapai all these neat things my friend had told me about! Oh and not only that but I had a room aaaall to myself, with a bathroom and hair styling tools, and awesome shampoos hahah! I loved it! I had the best hosts eeeveeer! And my friends dad cooked this awesome breakfast for us made with broken wheat, scrambled eggs and bacon...mmmmmm.
They call it "Allah". pretty interesting!

These photographs are somewhat mixed up since I took soooo many while in Arizona, but
our first big stop was the morning we went to The Grand Canyon, Skywalk! we got passes which included the 3-4 different stops, a meal ticket, and the skywalk admission! We got eat ribs, corn bread, mashed potatoes, veggies, and icy cold drink(much needed thank the heavens, it was HOT out...!!) and the sweetest softest chocolate chip cookie i've had to this day. I got to
1. shot a gun!!!!! In a drawing match
( with a bullet proof shield between us of course) and I won!
2. Lasso a bull!! On the second try!
3. play a game of horseshoe(eh. i did aight' )
4. shoot some arrows and hit  bulls eye on the first try!!!!
(I took archery in high school so apparently I've got skills!)

It was all just GRAND! literally! haha! The grand canyon is someting everyone should experience at least once in their life because it really takes your breath away, like nothing youve ever felt. For your tiny peepin eyes to see something to massive and majestic, you cant even comprehend how such beauty is possible. Your mind cant even register the massive intensity of the canyons. Its literally mind blowing. For real.

Photographs dont do it ANY justice. none whatsoever.

Las Vegas!!!

So im on a plane, destination; Las Vegas....
Well well well. hahaha! Who'd of thought!! And I always was one to say,
"I'll never visit Vegas, doesnt seem interesting to me"
Meh! Here I am flying one way .... Yikes!!!
So some friends and I have planned this for days now and basically im on this trip for some killer hikes, mega views, and camping!!
I will be hiking in Arizona with friends with the intention of camping at havasupai to see the
infamous Teal/Turquoise waterfall.....

Im so proud of myself haha! I surprise myself more and more everyday.
Its sort of intriguing you know. when you isolate outward elements and analyze who YOU are aside from friendships, adventures, setbacks. You really discover new things about your persona and start to notice things you never did before. you start to really see your independent self. independent of all outward influences .

Lately I've been so busy with work, starting this new job has been so awesome for me and
Ive experienced blessing in abundance because of it! This trip being one of them!
I am so thankful thats for sure.
Its crazy how so many things happen all at once! I've had to deal with ups and downs but i've never experienced what Im experiencing lately. Out of the blue all at once, Ive met up with old friends who I've found i missed tremendously! Ive been meeting/making new friends, building meaningful relationships and experiencing new lifestyles!
(Which is always my favorite!!)
Boy oh boy this world has so much to offer and just when you think you've seen alot of it, you learn you've been seriously mistaken!
I'm literally watching myself grow before my eyes (if that makes any sense at all!)

So this new thing; i'll close every entry with words that describe how im currently feeling. Itll be fun to come back to these entries and see what my mood was like!

Im thrilled, ecstatic, overjoyed, blessed in abundance, in love and hopeful for things to come

P.S. That last shot is that of the worlds tallest ferris wheel!! The High Roller Ferris Wheel..... It fits about 40 people!!! How nuts is that!!?!
Oh yea and then we cruised/explored vegas strip! These were snapped very quickly people, bear with me!! they're not the greatest haha!

Hemingways... what a beaut!

Sooooo im baaaack! I took a little hiatus, stepped away for a while but Im back
to le blog.......My humble abode.
hahaha! uncalled for, I just really wanted to say "my humble abode"
I think its too great when people say that, sounds soooo classy and charming.
"welcome to my humble abode..."

Alright, okay. Im having too much fun here. So Theres a ton of things that have happened
in my sweet ol life, where to begin!!!?!!! Oh yes...
So my friend rico says hes having a show at some stellar venue in hollywood, naturally
I say yES!!! Im in!!! So he gives me the deets on the venue and all that jazz....

I show up to big hugs and awesome talks!! Catching up on life and all the craziness in between. He introduces me to his bandmates, and then we meet up with my other friend, his sister Risa and we talk and talk some more which was all just
total goodness to my soul!! First off, this venue was spectacular.
THE most handsome looking venue on the block. for sure. We've got some typewrites all along the walls, books, and a huge sketch of two hands
(which happened to go perfectly with the typewriter theme).

I hadnt listened to my friends band in about 3-4 years,
nor had I hung out with him or his sis in forever!! so today was awesome because
I enjoy long meaningful conversations especially when you know you are missed and
talking can go on forever and its okay because theres just so much to talk about,
and the conversation never runs dry haha!

I love this!!!! So Night Riots is definitely a band you should check out,
they are amazing musicians and Rico is THE best drummer eeeever!!(he really is amazing!)
This photo, not so great BUT listen, the lighting was beautiful and so its sort of understandable why the photo turned out crummy! (plus i took this with my phone)

No worries though, I'll be watching them again Oct 3 so more photos soon to come!!!

Route 66

Today my friend Eric and I took a roadtrip down to Elmers Bottle Tree Ranch!
It was a 1.5 hour drive from home but definitely worth it.
This was a spot I'd heard of, about 4 months ago or so but never got a chance to
visit until now! Aparently people from all over the world know about Elmers magical creation,
and so he gets plenty of visitors from pretty much everywhere!
While we were there, there were two other couples exploring the artsy land!
I was among the others taking pictures of everything around me.

One thing i noticed after viewing these photographs(which I hadn't noticed while there)
you can play ISPY while at the bottle tree ranch because there are SO MANY random items you will spot
throughout the area. SERIOUSLY. shotguns, typewriters, tricycles, surf boards, doll heads,
bath tubs, sinks, keys, rims, and much much more! Take a gander at my photographs and youll see!

I took a stroll down memory lane on our ride to Elmers, because we listened to CDS I hadnt played since high school days....It was ....interesting to see what my music taste was like back then hahaha!

Anyways Hope you guys take a visit if in the area, this is truly a cool spot
where you can definitely draw inspiration from all thats around you.
My piece of inspiration was the idea that
you dont have to be some hot shot to create something that the whole population will
admire and want to be a part of/want to see.
Elmer is just a typical average joe but with a powerful drive and high aspirations to create something that
made HIM happy. and made his home more of a home.

photo credit goes to MUA and shots where im phtographed, credit to my buddy Eric.
thank goodness, I hadn't had my photograph taken in ....well I cant remember
when was the last time I was photographed.....

This journal is sort of becoming my book of firsts!
These are a few shots from my first trip wakeboarding!!!
Im lucky to have friends who invite me places and enable me to try new things along with them.
I got to wakeboard for the very first time and I was HORRIBLE AT IT!!!
well hey hey now, I wasnt horrible HORRIBLE, I just couldnt get up,
my puny weak little chicken legs felt so weak hahaha!!! I couldnt conjure up any strength to stand on my board!!!! I gave it about 6 tries and then My arms just gave out, I took a rest but then couldnt continue where I left off hahah!! Im hoping to go wakeboarding again this month so
I will definitely give it another shot.
Its cool trying new things, Its okay to not be good at all those things. I meet people who want to be
excellent at many if not ALL things, and thats great, but Im content knowing I tried, and I had fun trying.
And but if i love it that much , most defnitely I try and try until I get it right.
But basically for me its not about winning, its not about being the best, or even being excellent at something.
Its really about the attempt, the passion behind it, and how much fun you have while doing it.
